INTRODUCING BIZZY MUM, NAMI

Your name: Nami

Business name: Nami Creative

How many/ how old are your kids: Aiko 7.5 months old

How long have you been in business: 3 years

What is your business why?

I am a women photographer and empower women and myself through my creative Goddess Shoot® experiences. After a massive wake up call in 2019 my whole life turned upside down. I since then have been focusing on re-aligning with my higher self and my soul purpose. For a very long time I didn't see my own goddess essence and light. Through inner work, tough reality checks, reflection and lifestyle changes I managed to slowly bring back to life the light that has always been shining in me; screaming to be seen. I since then made it my mission to help other women to step into their power and to love themselves on a deeper level.I have always been known as the girl that takes so many photos. I have been doing professional photography for the past 10+ years. I discovered my love and passion for capturing women at the end of 2019.To see the beauty and story unfold in front of the lens is something I don't have words for to describe. There is something very magical in the process of capturing women. It's vulnerable, raw, unique and empowering. I truly can say that I found purpose in capturing the female goddess essence through my photography. My dream is to capture one woman at the time and help them to see their own inner light through the photos I take. The more we love ourselves for who we uniquely are the more loving we can be to everyone around us, it always starts within ourselves.

Did you always want to work for yourself?

Yes, I never thought I would be able to actually do it but I struggled with working for someone else and having to do things that didn't really feel aligned with my values or purpose.

What does success look like to you?

To me it's freedom and making others feel good about themselves and being able to empower others and in return feeling empowered. Success to me also is being able to work on my own accord and having a good work/life balance

Do you have a top business tip or a piece of advice?

Learning to say NO to things that do not align with you or your values, it will run you to the ground and keep you feeling depleted

What is your favourite and least favourite thing about working for yourself?

My favorite thing is that I have time for Aiko and being able to be here for her during these vital first few and short months, the hardest part is that you are always on YOU are your brand.

What's 3 apps /programs /services you can't live without? (Biz and home)

Instagram: This is where I get over 80% of my clients from + let's face it I love a good stalk and scroll, Lightroom vital for my business as a photographer, gmail, a full inbox everyday but where would we be without it

Have you got any embarrassing failures you've learnt from?

Oh yes so many, I used to shoot for a bottle of wine lol this was before I knew my value I guess everyone has to start somewhere + I love wine lol

How do you manage switching between all the different hats of business and motherhood?

It's hard especially when Aiko has a full on day where she needs me and I have deadlines to meet, but I try to remind myself that things can wait and I am allowed to slow down. Aiko is my main priority and I try to be present with her.

What's one thing you would tell your younger self as a new parent or fresh business owner?

Things don't last, the good and the bad so enjoy the highs and learn from your lows.

Is there anything your daughter has taught you so far?

Oh so much, but my favorite would be that my heart has no bottom. I have so much love in my heart to give.

What is your favourite thing/s you do to look after your mental health?

Exercise and walking + swimming in the ocean.

What does "Nami time” look like?

It be creating some magic with my friends, a glass of wine, good music. laughter, dancing and then a snuggle with my little gal

Do you have a favourite quote?

Yes, Fall down seven times - get up eight.
